San Giljan, MALTA- My personal blog very rarely gives full reviews of restaurants because it's hard in Malta and Gozo to find a place that will give you an extra ordinary impression when it comes to food service. But, last 2 weekends the things for me had changed and I am really writing this blog with an amazing impression wanting all of you to get the same experience as I know that we all here in Malta and Gozo are food lovers from one side and from the other one we love to be served on the proper way for the money that we paid.
And to not forget we love big portions of food as well :-)
I discovered this place because was recommended to me by one of my best friends and we decide to taste what this restaurant can offer to our visit to Gozo and I was really not in any kind of expectation as I love to eat on fancy places and when it comes to food I really don't love to experiment.
We have arrived on Sunday in the center of Marsalform, small city on the bay coast in Gozo in the amazing L'Aragosta restaurant welcomed by the owner Kenneth Cutajar and his team.
We immediately get our reservation confirmed and the table was ready for us including in fact all the precautions regarding the Covid19 and I was from the start impressed by the fact how clean is this place, even if simple and without so many spectacular fancy details that can take your attention away and than you get disappointed.
All the stuff dressed properly in black uniformed outfits and safe equipment welcomed us with a warm smile and positive energy ready the serve us on this one of a kind experience. They immediately take care of our drinks offering a large selection of wine list and summery cocktails.
The official MENU of the restaurant can be find here so you will all have idea regarding what is serving and obviously how much it costs.
In the last 2 weeks we visit the restaurant 3 times and we had opportunity to try a lot of things especially their amazing sea food platers, grilled steak, homemade ravioli and one of a kind the best ever fish traditional soup that I had ever try called ALJOTTA.
All the food is prepared with so much love taking care even of the smallest details to keep the traditional taste of the sea food cooking in old way typical for Gozo.
We had a really amazing assistance by the floor manager David Kitcher that even if this restaurant was extremely busy place, was taking care everyone that visits this place to be served on a proper way possible and was shocked from the fact that from around 100 people that were served in the same time not even one complain happen at that time for any single thing.
For the people that are not fans of sea food this restaurant has a large collection of different types of meat prepared on the traditional way as well and amazing homemade ravioli, pasta and pizza for the small ones.
Do you really want to enjoy food when you are in Gozo?
Call and make your reservation and you will never get disappointed.
Thank you L'Aragosta <3
Till the next time :-)
With love
