Blog about Ritienne Zammit- Women that change the standards of high fashion in Malta

San Giljan, Malta- This was maybe one of the most expected blog that my followers were waiting and asking for and I really needed a lot of time to prepare it since I am blogging for one really special and adorable person. Usually I am always happy writing about a quality things and this is really something that I prepare with so much love. She is the women that change the standards for high fashion in Malta and step by step she will be a worldwide famous designer that will have an amazing future and success. She is one of the best Maltese and Mediterranean fashion designers at the moment and would like to meet my followers and subscribers a bit with the short biography of her.

True to her roots, Maltese fashion designer Ritienne Zammit, has summoned some of the largest applause's in Malta Fashion Week history. Her designs, famously unconventional and historically inspirational, have won the hearts of the Maltese community. This brand has stapled itself into the local fashion scene through its precise tailoring, off beat construction details, and strong political messages.

To experience a fashion show produced by Ritienne Zammit, is to experience a requiem of eccentric fabrics and materials, juxtaposed into an emotional story. Expertise in tailoring and attention to detail ties together all of the pieces of this intricate political puzzle and transcends this catwalk experience into an unfolding rebellious artist’s dream.

Last year’s collection, “L-omm li tatna isimha!” inspired by rebellious Maltese history, mixed this inspiration with the ever so popular comic theme of last years runways. This bold line, who got its name from the lyrics of the Maltese National Anthem, recognized several Maltese patrons whose patriotic statements shone through the collection. Translating to “The Mother who gave us our name,” “L-omm li tatna isimha!” gave spectators a renewed appreciation of their own name along with their country’s proud identity.

Preceding this collection was “Amen,” a collection inspired by the Baroque interiors of Maltese churches. Although traditional, the church’s elaboration fails to coincide with the rapid desertion of faith in today’s society. Through the collection’s rich fabrics, ornately embellished design, and provocative facet, “Amen” challenges and questions the message of the Catholic religion and its elaboration.

It is no surprise that Ritienne Zammit has been awarded 'The Most Outstanding Student of the Year' Award from 2009-10 at MCAST in collaboration with the Malta Society of Arts as well as the 'New Designer Award' in 2013 at the Malta Fashion Awards. Her skill, dedication, and fearlessness have pushed the boundaries of fashion to create a timeless, poetic brand.

Her style is unique, original and unforgettable. Apart of it, her personality as a designer makes her even more amazing. I had an honour to meet her 3 years ago on Malta Fashion Week 2016 when actually for first time I was attending the fashion week in Malta. 3 years later I can say proudly that I am wearing her designs not just in Malta but even worldwide. On the last edition of Milan Fashion Week 2018 I was almost all the days wearing her designs and the feedback from the public was amazing.

Ritienne Zammit is a designer that change all the fashion standards and show everyone that even from the tiny place with real talent you can make a huge success and be famous all around the globe.

When we are describing her style of design, we can start we the simply artistic and finish with experimental and innovative style. Using a special design inspired by her country she is not promoting only her brand but also the whole Maltese nation and all Malta should be very proud of her work. She is a person that pushes the boundaries of what is accepted as a normal in the culture here.

In her latest collection I LOVE VALLETTA, she really present the best from her and the show was one of the best that we saw during the fashion week. This year the expectation and interest for the new collection is huge and we hope that she will put the standards even higher than now.
